Our Approach
P.E.C.E.S., Inc. supports personal growth and community development through three programmatic areas:

Our primary initiatives
To provide prevention, education, and business training services to promote socioeconomic development in the southeastern region of Puerto Rico.

Education
We work with schools in our region, supporting and complementing their services. In addition, our Alternative High School, P.E.C.E.S., provides educational services to students who haven't found the tools they need to thrive within the traditional education system. Our educational model combines innovative classroom environments, boarding experiences, and opportunities for emotional development for a more comprehensive educational experience.

Prevention and Community Resilience
We believe that providing care and support to children and their families helps build strong relationships and successful individuals. Our prevention services include in-school tutoring, evidence-based programs (such as the Adult Identity Mentoring (AIM) program), extracurricular programs with academic, cultural, and athletic activities, youth leadership programs, counseling and social work services for children and adults, and parenting workshops for adults who need to improve their parenting skills (parents or grandparents), among other services.

Entrepreneurship
Our small business incubator welcomes budding entrepreneurs, adults with business ideas, as well as unemployed people who need to improve their professional skills and are looking to enter the job market.

Community Sustainability Center
We offer the following programs and services:
Response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria. Support and education for residents and business owners so they can mitigate the damage and rebuild their communities collaboratively and resiliently, fostering a promising future of social and economic growth.
